My position at Lincoln Village Animal Hospital is Veterinary Assistant. I work in the reception area where I answer the phones, follow up with patients, and greet clients! In addition, I assist Dr.Buhrows with appointments, surgeries, and help out anywhere I’m needed!
I was born and raised in the KW area. I grew up with my mother, father, and sister. When I was a child I was really interested in horses and constantly begged my parents to let me go riding. Eventually I succeeded in convincing them and have been riding for 13 years! I’d say horses ended up being a big influence on me. It tested my comfort zone, pushed me to do things I didn’t think I would do, helped me to be brave, and showed me that I enjoy the “barn life”.
I currently have my cat Abby who wishes she were an outdoor cat, my senior boy Storm who is my little shadow, and my new addition Lily who I adopted while on vacation in Portugal!
I chose to work in the veterinary profession to share my passion for animals and to further educate myself in animal practices. I want to be able to make a difference to those who provide us with so much unconditional love and forgiveness.
When working at LVAH, I really enjoy speaking with our clients. I like that I’m not just a staff member to them and that we’re able to connect on a more personal level. I especially enjoy meeting and learning about the exotic animals that come into the clinic, as well as getting all of the nice slobbery kisses from our furry patients!
I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family member!
